Three major changes in the automotive aftermarket will impact shops in the coming decade – shifting vehicle technology, consumer expectations and labor shortages. After talking with shops and suppliers, global consulting firm Roland Berger produced this report detailing the challenges service facilities face with future service requirements and customer expectations. This important report also details how suppliers should do to support these critical players in the aftermarket. This report was originally presented by Barry Neal and Neury Freitas at MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers’ Technology Conference on October 10, 2023 and was updated with new content and updated data on February 28, 2024.
