Supplier Advocacy Network: MEMA Hosts Michigan Roundtable with Two Congresswomen
Today, MEMA is hosting the Michigan Delegation Supplier Roundtable with Reps. Debbie Dingell and Haley Stevens of Michigan. MEMA President and CEO Bill Long, along with other staff members, are discussing the state of the motor and motor equipment industry and how current issues, such as the USMCA, will affect it.
The roundtable is part of a large grassroots project that MEMA launched earlier this month. The Supplier Advocacy Network is focused on connecting suppliers with their federal elected officials and educating them on policy issues that affect their businesses. These include the USMCA, tariffs, data access for the aftermarket, fuel economy rules, infrastructure, and workforce training. If you are interested in participating and have not been invited to participate, please contact Melanie Weiland at mailto:mweiland@mema.org or at 202-312-9242. Additionally, member companies are encouraged to attend town hall meetings hosted by congressional representatives. You can check your elected official’s social media accounts or web pages to see if they are hosting meetings. More information about the initiative can be found here.
