Stellantis Executive to Cover Circular Economy at MEMA Sustainability Summit
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The MEMA Center for Sustainability and MEMA Government Affairs are pleased to announce Alison Jones, Senior Vice President, Global Circular Economy at Stellantis, as a speaker at its Sustainability Summit on August 15, 2023. Jones will cover how the circular economy is a core pillar of the organization’s Dare Forward 2030 strategy, which aims to achieve carbon net zero by 2038.
In “SUSTAINera Circular Economy: Our Industrial and Innovative Scale Up,” Jones will highlight how Stellantis—through its SUSTAINera label—continues to grow sales through product range, customer offers, and worldwide expansion. SUSTAINera is a new label for Stellantis parts and accessories that indicates a saving of up to 80 percent materials and 50 percent of non-emitted CO2 as compared to their equivalent new parts*, representing the organization’s promise to provide sustainable, transparent, and affordable products and services to its customers. Jones’ session will touch on how Stellantis is working with innovative and industrial partners, suppliers and in-house teams to grow all aspects of its "4R" strategy: Reman, Repair, Reuse, and Recycle.
Jones has been leading the Global Circular Economy Business Unit since June 2022. In this position, Jones gives new impetus to the circular economy business—one of the core pillars of Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan for Stellantis, whose brands include RAM, Jeep, Chrysler and Dodge. Prior to her current role, Jones was senior vice president and Stellantis Group UK managing director for Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Jeep® and Peugeot. Jones has held a variety of senior management positions within the automotive industry, moving between different disciplines over 21 years in strategic and operational roles, driving results through large teams, often in uncertain and chaotic environments.
“We are happy to welcome Alison Jones to the speaker line up at Sustainability: Competing in Today’s Economy,” commented John Chalifoux, chief sustainability officer for MEMA, The Vehicle Suppliers Association. “This OEM Customer Session will provide valuable insight into the Stellantis circular economy.”
