Remanufacturing Roadshow and Annual Conference to Tour Three Facilities in Indianapolis
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers announces the 2025 Remanufacturing Roadshow & Annual Conference . Taking place June 3-4 in Indianapolis, attendees will have the opportunity to tour Cummins Drivetrain & Braking Systems (formerly Meritor) and Valley Truck Parts Inc.'s remanufacturing facilities, as well as Allison Transmission's new manufacturing facility.
Each year, the Roadshow features tours of MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers company facilities, highlighting remanufacturing expertise and excellence. Attendees get up-close views of the quality remanufacturing process, interacting with the people who are performing the work and perfecting the craft. This year's tour members are:
- Allison Transmission: The manufacturer's global headquarters in Indianapolis is both their corporate hub and a key global site for engineering and the manufacturing of new propulsion solutions.
- Cummins Drivetrain & Braking: The Plainfield, Ind. facility remanufactures components including brake shoes, calipers and axle differentials, taking them back to like-new performance.
- Valley Truck Parts: This nationally recognized remanufacturer of heavy-duty driveline components specializes in repairing and remanufacturing manual transmissions, differentials, steering gears, fifth wheels and Allison automatics.
"The 2025 Remanufacturing Roadshow & Annual Conference will spotlight the innovation, quality and sustainability that define our industry," said John Chalifoux, chief operating officer of MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers and chief sustainability officer at MEMA, The Vehicle Suppliers Association. "Touring the facilities offers attendees a rare opportunity to see remanufacturing excellence in action and hear directly from the people driving it forward. This event is a testament to the strength and collaboration of the remanufacturing community and our shared commitment to advancing the aftermarket."
Along with the tours, the Conference portion of the event will bring together remanufacturers, core and component suppliers, and industry experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities in remanufacturing. This year's sessions include a panel discussion with executives from the tour host companies, an update from the Council of Remanufacturing Excellence (CoRE) ReThink Tank and a look at how regulations and trade policies impact remanufacturing and core management, with more sessions to be announced.
