Plante Moran to Join MEMA Center for Sustainability Workshops This Fall
SOUTHFIELD, MICH. – The MEMA Center for Sustainability will hold two workshops this fall with a focus on providing in-depth insights into the diverse environmental, social and governance (ESG) intricacies and demands facing suppliers today. Laurie Hoose, PMP, senior manager, and Mark Barrott, partner, from business advisory firm Plante Moran will join the Center for four modules spread out over two dates: September 20 and October 18, 2023. Topics will include OEM ESG disclosures and sustainability requirements, best practices for establishing an ESG program, driving cost reduction with ESG programs, and a self-assessment on current company ESG positions.
“Following the success of our Sustainability Summit in August, we are partnering with Plante Moran to provide suppliers with the information they need to gauge their ESG standing and proactively progress towards efficient information collection, analysis, and disclosure,” commented John Chalifoux, chief sustainability officer for MEMA, The Vehicle Suppliers Association. “This event—geared towards teams responsible for ESG program development, execution and compliance—will provide an essential opportunity to learn, network, and plan for what’s ahead.”
Executives and professionals from all MEMA member companies—automotive and commercial vehicle, original equipment and aftermarket—who manage aspects of sustainability and ESG within their organizations are invited to attend. The event will be held at MEMA’s offices in Southfield, Mich. and virtually on Zoom.
MEMA members are invited to attend. Discounted pricing is available for both workshops.
