MEMA Statement on the Passing of Former U.S. Senator Carl Levin

The Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association issued the following statement on the passing of former U.S. Senator Carl Levin:

“Today, the motor vehicle supplier industry lost a great friend with the passing of Senator Carl Levin. During his 36 year tenure in the United States Senate, he was a champion for the supplier industry, tireless in his push for policies that would support the industry and, most importantly to him, the workers employed at supplier facilities in Michigan and nationwide. He has left a legacy that will impact the industry for years to come.

MEMA extends our condolences to his wife and daughters, his brother former Representative Sandy Levin, and the entire Levin family.”

During his service in the Senate, MEMA presented Levin with the Joseph M. Magliochetti Industry Champion Award at the 2007 MEMA Legislative Summit.
