MEMA Selects West Michigan and ADAC for Spring Board Meeting
Washington, D.C. – MEMA, The Vehicle Suppliers Association, the leading trade association representing vehicle suppliers and advancing the fast-changing mobility industry, has chosen West Michigan and ADAC as the site of its 2025 Spring Board of Directors Meeting.
The sixteen-member MEMA Board meets at a critical time. The motor vehicle parts supplier industry, which represents the largest sector of manufacturing jobs in the United States, is facing the most significant technological transformation in a century. This evolution is occurring alongside ongoing challenges, including wide-ranging tariffs, significant regulatory shifts and workforce shortages.
“West Michigan has grown to become an important hub for vehicle parts and systems manufacturing and ADAC, located in Grand Rapids, serves as a prime example of technology and innovation,” said Bill Long, president and CEO, MEMA. “That spirit is also reflected in companies like GNS North America and Shape Corporation, which demonstrate the resilience and expertise that define this part of the state.” GNS’s Vice Chair and CEO Emeritus and Shape Corporation’s President and CEO both serve on MEMA’s Board of Directors.
“We are honored be selected to host MEMA’s Spring Board Meeting as we gather to help guide the association’s efforts in shaping the future of the industry,” said Jon Husby, President of ADAC and Vice Chair of MEMA’s Board. “ADAC’s owners, The Teets family, have invested in a world-class facility and we are proud when we can open our doors to both the community and industry leaders. This meeting confirms that West Michigan has a prominent place in the automotive supply base.”
“Our industry and our members are both experiencing and driving transformational advances in vehicle technology, while at the same time adapting to tectonic shifts in the global marketplace,” Long said. “Our time together will focus on actions to advance the business interests of MEMA members during this historic period of change.”
