MEMA Congratulates the U.S. Senate for a Strong Bipartisan USMCA Vote
MEMA congratulates the U.S. Senators for their strong vote today in favor of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). We are very pleased that today’s vote was overwhelming and bipartisan. We look forward to a signing ceremony shortly by President Donald Trump that will close a chapter in this bipartisan success story.
The USMCA will help ensure that motor vehicle suppliers in the U.S. stay competitive in the global marketplace. The USMCA will provide economic certainty and opportunity for manufacturing growth in the United States and throughout the region. This action begins to establish economic certainty which is essential to preserve and enhance vital North American supply chains for the U.S. motor vehicle sector. This new North American Trade deal for the 21st Century is essential to U.S. economic success now and in the future.
