MEMA Center for Sustainability and Suppliers Partnership for the Environment Announce Industry Collaboration on Sustainability Reporting
Washington, D.C. – The MEMA Center for Sustainability has entered into a new collaborative agreement with Suppliers Partnership for the Environment to reduce the burden of industry-wide sustainability reporting. This initiative, announced at recent meetings held by the respective groups, focuses on identifying common sustainability reporting approaches and metrics, a top priority for the automotive and commercial vehicle industries. By leveraging their collective strength, the MEMA Center for Sustainability and Suppliers Partnership will work with vehicle manufacturers and suppliers to increase individual company effectiveness and efficiency in sustainability reporting.
"The enthusiastic response to our new collaboration with Suppliers Partnership reinforces the industry's commitment to progress," said John Chalifoux, chief sustainability officer, MEMA, and chief operating officer, MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers. "I am confident that fostering communications through industry partnerships will drive meaningful transformation and long-term growth opportunities for all vehicle suppliers."
"We're excited to partner with MEMA on this critical initiative," said Kellen Mahoney, executive director, Suppliers Partnership. "By combining our strengths, we can drive meaningful change within the industry and identify options that benefit the entire supply chain."
"As a member of Suppliers Partnership and on the leadership team of the MEMA Center for Sustainability, I'm really encouraged to see the groups working together towards a common approach option," said Jill Kupcak, corporate office for sustainability and EHS, North American Region, Bosch. “Across the industry, we all look forward to identifying efficient options for this important reporting."
