Council Update: Joint ELC & GM Prof Dev Council Meeting

It was an incredible collaborating experience for MEMA OE Suppliers to host the first Joint MEMA OE Suppliers Emerging Leadership Council 2023-24 and GM Professional Development cohort meeting. 

Tim DeCarlo, Global Commodity Manager, Battery Components at General Motors, kicked off the session. He shared an overview of GM's electric vehicle platform and professional development program. 

Our keynote speaker was Jan Griffiths, Architect of Cultural Transformation in the Automotive Industry, Gravitas Detroit, and host of The Automotive Leaders Podcast. Jan captivated the group with a leadership talk on "The Power of Collaboration," providing them with profound insights and actionable steps to enhance collaboration both within our teams and with external partners. 

Concluding the day, Sammy El-Saleh, Senior Manager Sales and GKAM at Roechling Automotive and ELC 23-24 Board of Governors, wrapped up the day. He facilitated a dynamic peer-to-peer roundtable and interactive session based on the "Six Thinking Hats." This approach allowed the group to dissect issues from multiple angles in a structured and harmonious manner, leading to stimulating discussion and the opportunity to forge meaningful connections.

It was a truly monumental and productive day spent with the General Motors Professional Development cohort and MEMA OE Suppliers Emerging Leadership Council 23-24 cohort, broadening their networks and fostering collaboration!
