Council of Remanufacturing Excellence Celebrates Inaugural Meeting With Donation of 100 Trees to be Planted in North Carolina National Forests
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers is proud to announce the successful inaugural meeting of its newly established Council of Remanufacturing Excellence—a member-driven platform for advancing remanufacturing, focusing on knowledge-sharing and collaboration among members.
The first meeting of CoRE was held last month in Greenville, S.C., where members discussed the challenges and opportunities facing the remanufacturing industry. Topics included core management, economic pressures and market shifts, supply chain resilience, and digitalization. Attendees also enjoyed a fun-filled evening networking reception, making the event both informative and entertaining.
In celebration of this inaugural meeting, MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers has donated 100 trees to be planted near Greenville in the North Carolina National Forests.
"In honoring our members, we wanted to lead by example, choosing to invest in something meaningful for the planet," said Nikki Rankin, Council Director. "This donation celebrates our remanufacturing community’s key role in the circular economy and our CoRE members' commitment to environmental stewardship."
Aligned with the principles of sustainability and circular economy practices, CoRE members include individuals responsible for areas such as engineering, technology, research & development, sales, and operations at major players in the automotive and commercial vehicle remanufacturing sector.
The next CoRE meeting is slated for September 19. For additional information or to join the council, visit mema.org/networking-groups/CoRE or contact Nikki Rankin at nrankin@mema.org.
