Marylou Hornung
Marylou Hornung is the Director, Sales Operations for Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC, member of the Munich, Germany-based Knorr-Bremse Group.
An accomplished professional, with a broad range of practical business experience, Marylou’s career at Bendix and Honeywell/AlliedSignal (owners of Bendix prior to January 2002), spans over 25 years. During her tenure with Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems, she has held numerous key roles in operations, pricing, product marketing, and program management. She has held the post of Director, Sales Operations for over a decade. A continuous contributor, fully knowledgeable in data structure and transaction processing, Marylou was instrumental in the 2007 rollout of the organization’s SAP-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, serving as subject matter expert for order-to-delivery activities, and as an ongoing member of the Bendix Business Intelligence (BW) data team. She also operated as North American lead for consolidation of the business tools used to complete global strategic planning.
Reflecting her desire to give back and her genuine interest in the common good of the industry, Marylou has participated and served for many years on the Technology Council of the former AASA, and now MEMA Aftermarket, most recently for two terms as Chair of the Council.
Marylou holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Kent State University, Kent, Ohio, and a Master of Business Administration from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio. She is a certified Six Sigma Greenbelt and holds a Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
A resident of Westlake, Ohio, Marylou has been married to her husband, Bill, since 1985. They have four children; Eric (24), Nicole (22), Brett (21), and Alex (17).
